National Association for Music Education
Our Mission
NAfME at UIUC is made up of many future music educators and musicians alike who strive to improve the world through music. This RSO caters to all music disciplines and encourages professionalism in every aspect of education. Members of NAfME raise each other up while supporting all music.
Programs and Activities
We hold a number of professional development and social events each semester. These events include bowling, panels of music educators, karaoke, workshops, and much more! Illinois Music Educator Conference
Each year, our chapter of NafMe attends the Illinois Music Educator Conference. This conference is an amazing event where college students and current educators can attend workshops, network, participate in professional development, and learn more about the music education profession.
Member Requirements
Each member of NafMe is required to come to all meetings, as many events as possible, and hold the upmost respect for music education. By doing this, each member has the privilege to travel with NAfME to the Illinois Music Educators Conference.
